Bill Callahan - Woke On A Whaleheart

first release under bill callahan. i like this equally as much
as Sometimes I Wish We Were An Eagle, maybe more.
great stuff fer sure, be sure to scoop.

Of - The Infant Paths

this is a rad album. lots of sweet nature recordings and
other natural sounds from organic-made instruments

Zombi - Surface to Air

i got this around the time it was released in 2006, and every
once in a blue moon i feel a random urge to put it on --
sometimes for a few hours. space rock duo consisting of
synth and drums. sounds like the album art.

Smog - Rain On Lens

of all the smog albums, this may be my favorite. top 2
at least. i love the music on here, very repetitive and
loop-based in a traditional smog-sound way. this is way amazing.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Live VPRO Radio Sessions

godspeed have really nailed what's become one of my favorite sounds in music, so i thought
i should share some tunes you peps may not have. this recording has a unique sound compared
to any other live recording of theirs i've clinched . . . all classic movements as well:

- she dreamt she was a bulldozer
- steve reich
- world police
- moya

Avey Tare & David Grubbs - Crumbling Land

i wanted to hear this for a long time and i'm glad i finally
have .. 2 david grubbs tracks & 3 avey tare tracks. the david
tracks consist of a ten minute piano zome & a 4 min. ambient/noise
soundscape. the avey tracks are 2 short ones, one soft one heavy,
followed by a 13 min. zomescape.

let yr mind crumble, and forget for a little while

Terrestrial Tones - Blasted

if yr into avey tare & eric copeland sounds, then blasted is for you.
less layered and chaotic than Dead Drunk, but still fun in its
own way. plenty of heavy noisy sounds and some pleasant ones
too.

The Drift - Ceiling Sky

i love the drift's sound. more ambient-jazz zomes
for the drifting post-rock fan. great stuff

Wolf Eyes - Claustrophobic

there's so much wolf eyes out there, and i have almost none
but this recent scoop surprised me a little -
less noisy more drone and loop

Burzum - Filosofem

awesome black metal sound followed by awesome dark ambience
listen to this motherfucker

Pocahaunted - Gold Miner's Daughters

the only pocahaunted i have, but these tracks are great, and i love them
.. n tha's why they here

Vashti Bunyan - Just Another Diamond Day

this album is very pleasant and simple sounding. beautiful voice and gentle guitar.
the reason that AC's prospect hummer is so wonderful - bonus tracks too

Eluvium - Lambent Material

i got this fairly recently, and of the 5 albums i have, this is my favorite release from Eluvium
pianozomes and stars ambience

YACHT - MEGA

this is the only YACHT i really listen to - and it's a great album, even with 2 nonessential tracks deleted
some pretty fun glitch beats

Memory Tapes - Treeship

a solid 22 minutes of varying sound

Agalloch - The White (EP)

recorded 04-07. great agalloch neofolk-zome.
acoustic guitars & detached ambient soundscapes

Brian McBride - When The Detail Lost Its Freedom

hits the spot nice. baby stars with bits of piano, guitar and even some vocals.

mmmediafire

nudge - as good as gone

wouldn't have even noticed this if it wasn't for the artwork .. (the rescue ? indeed!)

very glad to have found this, never heard of em before. great zome and beautiful voices.

Baby & Hide - Normal People

baby&hide is jeremy keller of chicago, and sometimes others.

name comes from 2 cats.

recorded in 2005.

keller on baby&hide: "equal parts gay disco, ghetto at dawn, and pure indecisiveness"

"recommended for loner weirdos, literature grad students, eighteen year old girls, narcotics distributors, and the quintessential artist/waitress."
